Hi all, I bought my MacBook Air during boxing week at end of year 2013. Not after long, I noticed that if I don't shut it down and restart, when I play (most) Youtube videos, the speakers start to crackle very frequently through an entire video.
After some scouting around the internet, I found many people say it's the keyboard rattling. Which was not, in my case at least.
As someone who just spent 20 hours this weekend on Youtube watching violin + Chinese folksong related videos, here is the fix I found online that worked for me.
Use Firefox.
Using both Chrome and Safari gives the speaker buzz for some reason. But if you use Firefox, it fixes that problem. I've been playing Youtube videos on Firefox almost non-stop for about 12 hours now. (And I did NOT restart my computer after my speakers started crackling when I was playing video off Chrome since last night)
If you have the same problem give it a try.
And, of course if it doesn't work for you. Then the one that definitely works for me is :
And restart, again, if it starts crackling again in a couple hours. Sigh.
